Here are some new additions to my architectural photography portfolio. I recently was hired to photograph a commercial space for Karim Rashid Inc’s website – the project was to create a modern space for a Brooklyn developer’s office called Threefold. The design team at Karim Rashid Inc. asked that the main picture shows how the interior looks from the street. Since it’s a corner location with lots of glass, I needed to make sure to photograph in such a way, to minimize the inevitable refections. The final featured picture required the combination of two separate photos, a glass one and an exterior one, as seen immediately below. The interior is mainly white with text of various sizes displayed on the glass, which added contrast to get one’s attention.
